Mera is a marketplace connecting Brands, who fund video-content campaigns for digital products (apps, SaaS, websites), with Creators, who produce and submit videos against those campaigns. Mera is not a party to the underlying content deal between a Brand and a Creator; it provides the platform, the payment infrastructure, and the rules that both sides agree to when they use it.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your login credentials secure. One account per person; Brand and Creator roles are separate account types.
Mera charges a flat 7.5% fee on the amount a Brand deposits into a campaign, and a flat 7.5% fee on the amount paid out to a Creator on approval. Standard withdrawal of a Creator's available balance to their bank account is free; an instant payout carries a 2% fee. Fees are disclosed before you confirm a deposit or a withdrawal and are never changed retroactively on funds already in a campaign.
All payments run through Stripe. Mera does not collect, see, or store card numbers or bank account details — those are entered directly into Stripe's own checkout and onboarding flows. Creators are paid out to a bank account (or debit card, for instant payout) linked through their own Stripe Express account; Mera does not support cryptocurrency payments or payouts.
Creators retain ownership of the videos they produce. By submitting a video and having it approved, a Creator grants the Brand a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual license to use that specific video in the Brand's own marketing and advertising, in any format or channel. This is a usage license, not a transfer of copyright, unless a Brand and Creator separately agree to different terms outside Mera.
Creators may not impersonate someone else, make claims about a product they have not verified, or make claims about a regulated category (health, finance, etc.) beyond what the Brand's brief authorizes. Mera may remove a campaign or suspend an account for content that violates this section or applicable law.
Most disagreements are handled through the built-in revision-request and rejection flow. If a Brand and Creator cannot resolve a submission between themselves, either party may contact Mera support; Mera's decision on a disputed submission is final as between the two parties using the platform, without prejudice to either party's independent legal rights.
Either party may close their account at any time. Mera may suspend or terminate an account for violating these terms, fraud, chargebacks, or abuse of the platform. Funds already committed to an open campaign are handled per the refund rules below.
An unspent campaign balance (funds not yet paid to a Creator) can be refunded to the Brand on request, minus any portion already committed to an accepted, in-progress assignment. Funds already paid out to a Creator on an approved submission are not refundable through Mera.
Mera provides the platform "as is." Mera is not responsible for the quality, accuracy, or performance of any video, and is not a party to how a Brand ultimately uses licensed content. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mera's liability is limited to the fees it collected on the transaction in question.
Mera may update these terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be posted here with an updated date; continued use of Mera after a change means you accept the update.
Questions about these terms can be sent to the support address listed in your account settings.
