Mera does not use advertising cookies, analytics cookies, or any cross-site tracking. Here is exactly what we store in your browser and why.
| What | Where | Purpose | Expires |
|---|---|---|---|
| Your login session | Local storage (not a cookie) | Keeps you signed in between visits — strictly necessary for the site to work | Until you log out or it expires |
That's the only thing Mera itself stores in your browser. It is classified as "strictly necessary" under GDPR/ePrivacy rules, which means it does not require a cookie-consent banner — Mera cannot function (you couldn't stay logged in) without it, and it is never used to track you across other sites or shown to advertisers.
Consent banners exist for non-essential tracking — advertising pixels, analytics that profile visitors, cross-site trackers. Mera doesn't run any of those today. If that changes (for example, if we add product analytics), we'll add a consent banner before that tracking goes live, and update this page first.
A few outside services are essential to how Mera works and load their own scripts or set their own storage, outside Mera's control:
Since Mera doesn't use tracking cookies, there's nothing to opt out of on our end. You can still block or clear local storage in your browser's privacy settings at any time — doing so will simply log you out.
If Mera ever adds analytics, advertising, or other non-essential tracking, we'll update this page and add a consent mechanism before that change goes live.
